15th Dairy Congress and Expo (DairyConEx)

The 15th Dairy Congress and Expo (DairyConEx) is slated on 16-18 May 2012 to be hosted by the 5th District of Pangasinan Dairy Farm with former Representative Mark O. Cojuangco of the 5th District of Pangasinan as the Congress Director.

The DairyConEx is a national dairy meeting place, a three-day event showcasing the newest technologies available to the dairy industry.  The Philippine dairy industry stakeholders come together once a year to exchange ideas, make new contacts and see the latest technology the dairy industry has to offer.

This year’s theme is “Gatas Pinoy”: Paunlarin, Tangkilikin, Palaganapin! in support of the advocacy DairyCon regarding mislabeling of UHT milk as “fresh milk”.  It is the distinct advantage of local producers of milk to be the only suppliers of fresh milk in the Philippines.  However, Filipino dairymen do not benefit from this advantage since our regulations allow sterile milk to be labeled as fresh milk.  The 15th DairyConEx will be the best venue for the Filipino dairy stakeholders to show their force in support of the locally produced fresh milk.

The venue, Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, is a landmark along the borders of Baguio City and La Trinidad Valley and the newest and biggest hotel conference center in the city of Pines. Situated along the main highway leading to the “Salad Bowl Capital of the Philippines”, La Trinidad Valley, it is a stone-throw away from the Chinese temple-Bell Church and only a few minutes drive from the main business district and other Baguio scenic spots. Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza is accessible by public transportation. Jeepneys and Taxicabs are available round the clock.
